Sometimes, I wish it was socially acceptable to talk about problems you have with people in any situation. That way, no-one would have to agonize over whether to go to a party they would have to grit your teeth through because they have a problem with the person hosting it, and they haven't had a chance to solve said problem before the day of the party.

I have a great deal of respect for people who have no problem saying what's on their mind when it comes to mind. You always know where you stand with them, and they aren't bottling up "situationally inappropriate" thoughts/feelings for months or years on end while waiting for the right moment to finally deal with them.
